Prob With Astra digital dash in Nova Mk1

K, ive got the dash into my nova after a small amount of work :-). The problem now is that when im doin low speeds such as 11mph it reads fine but when you go up to about 30mph the speedometer only reads 17mph. Is there a difference in ratios spinning the transducer or is something broken???

There is a switch on top of the clocks, this alters the speed calibation. Flick it across, it may be the problem?

the sender on the gearbox is probably the problem(the black screw in thing) that the old speedo cable used to go into
did u get a new sender when you got the dash? if not its probably that
