Hi just thought id ask does anyone know or know how to find out how many nova gtes are left on the uk roads? Its just ive stripped 5 over the last year, just wondering thats all thanks

You butcher! Well there are at least 5 less than there was 12 months ago.
You would have to apply to the DVLA to check there database but I dont think they would easily supply the info. You would have to do it as a club register type thing through a recognised club

Would love to ask DVLA how many Sports there are left but they were registered randomly as different models it would be impossible to trace!

the ones i have had have been 1smashed up 2rotton as a pear found one in a scrap yard and one that had been stuck in someones garden for many years, so i didnt feel to bad. this is why i ask as i was worried how many road legal ones are left:(

just a thought but could you not get a list of the chassis numbers from andrew deurded (sp) and take that to the dvla so there is no confusion over different registered models, as some where done as base, sport, even sr, just an idea rich ? as it would be good to see exactly how many sports are still on the road

IF Andrew would release them, that is the problem.
And DVLA may not be interested as they would have to manually search each chassis number I would have thought. With a model they can just search Nova GTE and thats it.

ah i see i see, it would be really good to find out for sure how may are left thou, does club irmscher uk not have a registier of sports remaining ?

Wonder if the DVLA could release numbers of all remaining Novas? Be interesting to see how many are left on the road in the UK, and of those what the engine capacity/model distribution is (i.e. how many are GTEs, how many are 1.2s etc).

...plus how many are legit 2.0's lol

very true, iv a gte thats very solid compared to all iv seen and is still gone around the strut tops:(
underneath etc perfect, gona be very hard get a good gte soon

i know of a GTE engine thats still in good working order, i can imagine Colin Smith would have taken many-a Nova off the road, that is where my engine came from. LoL

Scrap them I think

I've scrapped one gte but it was so rotten that there was no driver floor left! so broke it up and kept all spares, only paid ?17 for it ;)

Start a new thread with a poll... What nova have you got?

Could be kool with a k to know how many novas and which sorts are in the club!

ive a GTE which is slowly but surely being restored(not to much work as its a clean shell, rust wise)so mine wont be going to no scrappy or breakers yard for quite a while, unless the inevitable happens?;)

Out of all the novas we have broken ect..... GTE's are by far the most rotten of the lot. Its like their party trick, the base model novas never seem to be anywhere as bad.

The curse of the sideskirts! My gte was held together by the paint down the sills and floor lol

sr/sri's are killed off pretty successfully by the vinyl too!

Not very many sound shells around these days unfortunately. Would give body parts for a mint gte!
