i have just been reading a thread about the sale of some audio gear and it sais:
Output Power at 12.0V (20Hz ∼ 20kHz):
2 x 150W @ 4 ohms (0.08% THD)
2 x 300W @ 2 ohms (0.3% THD)
1 x 600W @ 4 ohms Bridged (0.3% THD)
Output Power at 14.4V (20Hz ∼ 20kHz):
2 x 225W @ 4 ohms (0.08% THD)
2 x 450W @ 2 ohms (0.3% THD)
1 x 900W @ 4 ohms Bridged (0.3% THD)
Freq. Response: 10Hz ∼ 50kHz (+0/-1 dB)
S/N Ratio: 105dBA (at rated power)
Fuse: 80A

how can you power the amp at 14.4v to gain the extra power?

thanks to stokie_dave for the info.

iirc it will always run at 14.4v when the alternator is running

Yup, just consider it as like engine on = 14.4v, engine off = 12.0v.

BTW, am I correct in thinking thats an Alpine amp?
