Problems removing my mk1 dash

just half way through now following my haynes manual. Problem is the 2 screws at either end of the dash have had theyre tool profile rounded out and now i cant seem to be able to get them out at all :/. Any suggestions? many thanks

hit a bigger size bit in there.

Screw extractors?

Drill the heads off then use mole grips to get them out once the dash is out?
