sr ticking when given abuse

when i give my sr a bit of a hoakin it starts ticking. ive been told this is the cams or tabits or something what should i do??

Does the ticking stop after a while?

sounds like my old 1.2 8v corsa. it used to tap like hell when given abuse, so i stuck thicker oil in it lol job done!

might be the oil thinning as it gets hotter?

yeh my nova used to. standard engine never did but the carb'd one did, sounded realy loud tappety after a thrash.

thought it might of been oil

One of my old 1.2's used to do this after a thrash, was down to the ridiculous amount of oil it burned, just needed to keep it topped up!

its a ticking noise wen u rev it rite out to between 6 and 7 but only does it wen u keep doing it through the gears. and it full of oil. i got some of that stp oil treatment stuff it seems to have helped a little
