im going to be fitting a pedal box to my car but before i order it i need to know what size brake master cylinders to fit. bearing in mind ive got big dirty hi-spec 4 pots up front and i will obviously have seperate front and rear cylinders.

I've got 75 on the back and 625 on front but the pedal travel is fairly long. harry hockly and the competition guide book recommend the0.7" cylinder for the front and .75 for the rear.
I don't know will that improve the pedal travel, I'd be interested to find out though

A larger m/c will push more fluid through to the caliper for the same amount of travel.

always wondered how you get less travel then?

but the pressure exerted on the caliper for the same force applied to the pedal will be less so you will need to push harder than you would with a std size Master cylinder.

After a lot of messing about with my car i settled on a .625 front cylinder .75 rear cylinder and a inline bias valve. Thats with big front 4 pots and big rear 2 pots.
