Going to look at a 2door saloon (coupe if you will) tonight.

Its a mk1 in red and its been sat on someones drive for years. I remember seeing it years ago and its hasnt moved from that spot.

Went past the house today and thought '**** it, the worst they can say its sorry its not for sale'.

I will report back once ive had a chat with the owner....

It is/was flame red.

IIRC its a D reg or something around that age.

Didint manage to get a look at it but i know where the house is and il pop round tonight...

Ok im back from looking at the saloon....

Its a B reg (83/84?) and its an OLD guy that has it. His wife bought it and has never used it but has been in the family sine new. Its done 119K but has had new wings, sills and rear arches.

Its a 1200 and from what i can see its pretty clean.

Slight bit o rust/rot along the seam sealer on the O/S chassis leg. May be worse than it looks.

No tax or mot.

He says hes gonna have a think about selling as his wife has been on at him to get rid of it.

What should i offer him?
