How do you define best though...

Fastest 1/4 mile
Highest Top Speed
Fastest 0-60
Lightest
Heaviest
Fastest round X track
Best 100-0
biggest bodykit
Most speakers
Most db
Lowest
Biggest Wheels

etc etc etc

some can work together but lots dont.

The trouble is that everybody has very different ideas about the best nova.
personally I would love to chop the roof off one, build a decent ladder chassis & make a proper rwd hotrod, but 1. I don't possess the skills or money to do it & 2. most people would hate it

what didi you expect? the question started off badly...

If it had been 'which factory standard model of nova is the best?' then the thread would have been simple 'late model 1.6 gsi'

I reckon I could almost dish out a best 5..

But each "good" Nova is good in its own right.

thing is, every one has their own opinion, even a poll to find the most popular, wont prove anything!

Best nova cannot be named as they are still around. When the last one goes to the crusher then we will be cooking on gas.

Best Nova is an unmolested mk1 SR or GTE with no rust & no modifications IMO.

Pretty rare find tbh. No butchered alarm/loom fittings, original tape deck, a rubber gear gater with no holes, a rear wash/wipe that doesnt dump screen wash down the rear C pillar etc.

Bliss.

mine must win, there isnt an un-modified square inch, inside or outside, the engine is modified and its the loudest, heaviest, slowest, most metal, most mdf, most perspex, most wiring and the most unique

LOL... who'd have thought we'd see the day when you get excited over a low mileage Swing / Base Model coming on eBay lol lol

IIRC Cormac bagged one of the best examples left... well done that man :thumb:

Actually it occured to me. The best Nova would be a pukka Grp-A GM eurosport works rally car.
