how much did it all cost then?

and define "easier" to setup... ie can you rock on upto "any" RR and ahve them tweak it, or for BB make you go back there for their easy adjustments ;)

So they cost more than a set of webers...
Less adjustments can be a bad thing tho.
And webers work on any engine too.

Get some pics up when you can, bb inlets are top quality :)
What size are the carbs?

webber cost more than that new!

VAUXHALL 1.4L

Carbutettor Kit ?1,227.15
from sbd! they have been striped down cleaned and rejetted so alomost new. and a lot cheaper, these work on any car once re-jetted! there 40mm i am pleased with them anyway and with the overall price knowing thats its all done properly, not buyin some dodgy ancient webbers on e-bay that may not work! will put photos up soon as i can!

Thats for the 16v engine and includes an ignition ecu etc
Did you decide on those carbs yourself? 40mm is massive for a 1400 8v.

But weber 40s are choked down to 30mm on a 1.4 ;)
So they are effectively 30mm carbs.

Yea they were bought origanally for a kit car which were sold to a bloke with a 1400 16v rally nova whi was goin to use them but eventually chose throttle bodies then my mate works with them so had them off him, i'll let u know how they run once there on!

rather than spunk loads of cash on getting the crap 1.4 head ported. Simply sell your BB manifold, buy another (see if they will part ex or something) and get a 1.4 SRI head (tis the same as a a.6 mpi head). Benji made something like 10-12bhp purely by doing that swap, and it cost a truck load less cash than equivalent head work.
