its a nova forum so what answer do you expect? and it all depends on the condition of both the cars and what you want out of a car?

novawez

try asking a forum for corrados?

Stuart
29-01-08, 11:20 AM
and get an unbiased opinion?.... here people will say keep the nova, there they will say get the corrado.

I'd ask on a knitting forum or something equally not to do with cars :D

my mk1 turbo is the best car for me i got rid of a 540i to finish my nova true love for a truly great car

?400 is REALLY cheap for a Corrado

i got offered a H reg 1.8 16v, for around the same money.......it needed a bit of work, paint mainly

Could have made some ??? on it if i'd done the work and sold it on, but i had too many projects on the go at the time (still have)

......

if its a 1.8 16v or a 2.0 8v.......performance my disapoint you (there heavy cars)

2.0 16v go quite well

G60 & VR6 are the most fun though lol

......

i prefer Scirocco's........i've had 3 :thumb:

My cars great thanks lol

No, but I know people that have had them. They're ok, getting on a bit now though so its hard to find mint ones. Can be had cheap if you don't mind them being a little tatty.

novawez
29-01-08, 08:24 PM
but compared to novas if u had to choose what are the pros and cons

Jack
29-01-08, 08:28 PM
Erm, there's really not much of a comparison tbh!

Celica is a japanese sports coupe, the nova is an 80s euro city car. If I had to choose, I'd take the celica without even having to think twice about it, even if it was an ST!

In good order and in std trim the Corrado is a much better car - its one of the best handling VW's ever and way up there with the best of all cars of its time. Its a classic to go alongside the Mk1 Golf but probably a better alround car

However, they're old now and like the others say at that price you are probably buying something way past its best to put it mildy. At least with a Nova ?400 quid buys quite a few spare. Unless you got plenty of cash stick with a Nova;)

novawez
29-01-08, 08:45 PM
i was looking at some of the japs like the 200sx 180sx but for a nice classic its got to be the astra mk1 gte mk1 nova and the hs chevette or lotus sunbeam hatch

what a miserable question Mr wez :( can you not make up your own mind or do you not have enough imagineations to flick through autotradermag/internetnonpornsearches to look for cars?? i take it that you have a small budget so you will be limited by choices and money and imagination.
perhaps you should have a bicycle

novawez

i've got a corrado :)

i wouldn't get one for ?400, unless i was prepared to spend a lot on it, i got one for ?4000 and must of spent ?2500 at least on it in the 1st 18months, parts costs loads
