my first Nova

got my first Nova on Thursday night

i'm mainly into VW's and i have 2x mk1 Golfs, 1 is a showcar & the other is going to be a road/trackday car........i don't run the showcar over winter & the other car isn't finished........so i needed a "daily"

a bit before Xmas i got an Astra for next to now't (swapped it for a VW Caddy on Saturday)

Nova & Astra are the only Vauxhalls i've ever had

i took part in Practical Performance Car magazine's ?999 Challenge last year in my Polo & their thinking of making a it a ?500 limit this year, so i'll probably use this Nova

.....

paid ?50 for the Nova.......has tax til end of Feb, MOT til June & the main reasons for it been cheap is it has front end damage (grill, bonnet & slam panel) & when i picked it up it did'nt go :(

the previous owner said it broke down a bit after putting fuel in it, i asked if he had put diesel in it & he said "No".........towed it to my brother Matt's unit, checked the fuel.......& it had diesel in it lol

it's only a 1.0 with a 4 speed box :cry

needs the drivers door sorting.........door tops been bent back (atempted theft)......not a big problem

on Friday night me & my brother Matt pumped the rest of the diesel out, cleaned the plugs up & after cranking it over for a while it fired up :D

going to get some new plugs for it to be on safe side

......

on Saturday we took a trip to our local scrapyard on Saturday.......got a bonnet and grill

slam panel just needed straighten out

i started getting the rest of the sticker off & cleaning the sticky of were the stickers were

made a start de-badging the rear

got offered a 1.4 SRi engine for ?50........

but had a better offer to night.......a 1.8 Cav SRi motor & a set of Nova GTE bumpers.....for free :D

planning on sorting a lowering kit & some wheels as soon as i can

going to get clear indicators & repeater ordered this week.........oh, i'll tint the rear lights red at the weekend
