yeh... prob down on the logbook as a 1litre... i was paying ?800 on a unmodified gte with 1 years ncb and 3 years driving... an i was 21, and had my mother on the policy

Hmm, did you get a quote without the second driver? Be interesting to see if HIC deal with them the same way Admiral/Elephant do.

I'd say that was a fair price though. Good postcode and NCB is whats giving you that price.

i have just insured my 2.0 16v turbo nova, everything delcleared, gsi kit, wheels, brakes, roll cage, leather interior, turbo engine, 6 speed gear box, mplus lot more, only had one year ncb and 3 points for speeding, just told them how it was and what i have done, thought i was gonna go legal for once, ?413 fire and theft totaled up to ?497 for all the admin and interest for paying monthly it was with adrian flux couldnt belive my luck when they said that ! they only bad thing is limited to 5000 miles a year but i wont be using it for work any way so i dont need to worry :) :) :)

i was quite suprised but the bloke on the phone reckoned that it was about right, either that or he liked the sound of my voice lol, i got a bare shell sat in the garge so its not even no where near finished but i wernt gonna turn down the insurace at that price !!!

i had a "cheap" quote with norwich union after i had my accident etc, worked out cheaper after i had the accidetn and lost my no claims than it was before... ?650!?!
then... i had a letter and several phone calls asking for ?1500

sold the car after several phone calls trying to resolve the issue :(

That policy runs out in july and ive just changed the details to my 3.0l supra..... i got ?12.70 back :thumb:

The nova i insured at 21-22 for ?570, no ncb 5,000mile limited on classic
Current year which runs out in march was ?430 but down to 2,000mile on classic.

I not really bothered what any1 sayin, I made sure they had details cuz i was ahocked. Evrything makes difference, no criminal record, no claims, got another car which told I drive which I do, live in country, got immobiliser, tracker, logged as 2.0 16v on log book but is a 1.6 gsi.

Even if it is a mistake I was completely honset and told them engine that was in it and tht it was sitting at 165 brake and forgot to say it limited mileage to 5000miles but run other car and off-shore so will be ok mileage y s

just for a little help for anyone who is trying to insure there modified car adrian flux like you to have done all the modification your self and not brought it already done, he said on the phone that makes a big difference on the price not sure why !
