let boost probs

my mates astra c20let has got a problem in first and second gear its ok but when you go in to third and so on it seems to be holding back on boost really bad we have had a look around it for leaking pipes or anything but can find none i think it might be the actuator but thought i would ask on here first

See what the gauge does when it happens.

yeah i will phone him and tell him to go for a spin to see what it reads

he just been up the road at 3500 revs its boosting at 10 psi but seems to be holding could this be down to fueling

Hmm, what spec is it?

When it stars holding back what happens to the boost? drop off?
Maybe the turbo compressor intake hose is collapsing, if its the standard kkk hose.

standard mate his got samco hoses the boost is there but its really holding back as if it aint got no turbo we changed the airflow meter aswell with mine and it still does the same could it be the dizzy causing plus we have i changed the plugs yesterday

Standard boost is 8psi.
So it sounds like the boost is set too high and the ecu is cutting it!
