Alex has a mk2 polo, panels are all different to golfs afaik. Derby/coupe wings should fit as the front end is the same.

One has to ask himself.... Are the cars different sizes? If the answer is yes then sure as eggs is eggs the panels wont be the same.

mk1 golf looks pretty much the same size front end

Theyre different pal, polo grills are marginally shorter, and quite a bit narrower. The headlights are also diferent sizes.

Funny you should mention not being keen on the forums, the people in the scene was the main reason I left it!

Im into VW`s lol

The polo i think youve got is also called a squareback and a breadvan :thumb:

That might help you in the search.

The wings off the coupe will fit, not sure if the derby/saloon/classic wings will

Body panels inc grills, arches etc of ANY over model (golf/jetta etc) will not fit without alot of work, ie they wont bolt straight on

HTH

(OH and there are a select few of us on "those" sites that are willing to help ;)

i'm mainly into watercooled VW's

all mk2 Polo wings are the same, no matter which bodystyle you have (estate, coupe, saloon)

de-badged grilles are available from Germany......very few people have them in the UK

don't take the bumpers off......they look rubbish without bumpers

.......

other pointers for you are......

you can lower them 70mm.......if you do avoid speedbumps if you can, the exhaust goes below the rear axle & even at 40mm lower they scrape (also the downpipe goes under the sump)

be careful about wheel offset & tyre widths.......rear arches are difficult to flare without them looking crap

pierburg carbs on Polo's are rubbish, Weber conversions are quite expensive.........better in the long run to convert to fuel injection from a mk3 Polo (mk2 facelift)

Scirocco front seats fit straight in
