help how to wire 2.08valve nova

best way is to post a pic of your loom im running 2.0 8v

this is something i would like to know too as i have a 2.0 8v waiting to be put into a nova at some point..

i know how do it all apart from the wiring..

can i put a complete cavalier sri loom in the nova and use it for all the dash things, rear lights etc etc..

or..

can i just wire the engine up..without replacing whole loom??

Just the engine loom is needed.

i have all the plumbin done i also have the complete sri cavalier wiring loom if someone cud email me pics or info it would be great cant wait to get it goin its been rebuilt from scratch also get my interior back soon email me @ karaluttonbtinternet.com

the nova loom is also still in it it was a 1.2 single point injection i think model was a merit if dat means nethin to yas

You only need to connect 4 wires!

The dash should be run from the nova loom, as should the alternator and starter.

There will be a constant live on the engine loom which you connect directly to the battery. You also need to connect a switched live. I found there is a perfect input for the switched live on the coil end of the engine loom, which i connected to the old coil switched feed from the nova (2.0 coil is fed directly from the engine loom). You also need to connect the fuel pump via the red/blue cable, which should have a plug on it where it connected to the doner cars pump. Last lead is an earth, just find a brown cable as close to the ECU as you can, splice off it and earth to the body.

That will get it running :)

EDIT ok, saw your last post, if it was an SPI, rip out the ENTIRE loom, including the car loom, and refit a carbed nova interior loom. It will make your life 10 times easier.

do you also no wat throttle cable i use do i use the cavalier 1 or nova 1 as the nova 1 seems to be short and the 1 thing i didnt take out was the throttle cable out of the cavalier do you have ne pics or how to get them bit confudled bout all these wires lol

You need the cav throttle cable. Nova clutch cable, nova speedo cable.
