what oil would anyones recomend for a 20xe engine?

carplan/carlube 10W40 or 5W30 or 10W30 etc

for non harsh use (ie not raping it round a track day in day out) then just normal semi synth oil is fine.

As the engines has probably covered a few miles by now (unless you've had it rebuilt) it might be worth using something slightly thicker.

I use 15w 40 on my 2.0 8v as it was using 10w 40 alot quicker.

ive just checked auto data mate and it says

Cold Climate- 5w/30
Moderate Climate - 15w/40
