Can't see any of my pics being of any help tbh, all my mounts where home made.
All you should need to do is fit the front engine mount and rear gearbox mount then jack the front of the gearbox up untill its sitting level ... then weld your mount on.
Never used the competition mounts myself but have heard from other folk that they can be a bit of a pain to get the bolt holes to line up.

Aye you could always fit the std mounts first to get it all lined up then fit the comp mounts once the gearbox mount is welded in place.
Pics might be of some use ??

Suppose it does 'seem' to sit high, compared to the std Nova engines.

should be a good 15mm (or there abouts) gap between the box and chassis leg.
