hey lads having a few problems with my f16, if your driving hard its very sticky to go into third? never crunches though. and if i want to put it into reverse i have to press the cluth for about 6 seconds before engaging it, or itll just grind like ****! also my digi dash reads like a drunk blind person so what speed should 5.5k in 5th be? did a closed road test the last day and it was only readin 113mph?

Check the gearbox fluid levels 1st.

As for the speed it depends on tyre size and gear ratios,
if its an f16 close ratio on 195 50 15s will be about 117 mph @5500 revs, if your running 195 45 15s then it might be closer to 113, but it still sounds a little low, however it should really over read as most speedos do, so have a look to see if there is a switch on top of the of the dials (behind the dash). IT depends on the dash, but this switch can switch between transducer types, in which case it will make a huge difference and make it way out, or if its the other type the switch will adjust for a minor change in tyre sizes and may well make it closer.

Don't fill it to the top cause it will spew oil out of the breather when being driven untill it gets to the right level!

There should be a level bung near to where the left-hand driveshaft goes into the box.

in short no.

take the level bung out and fill till it comes from there. refit the bung and chuck in about 100ml more fluid.
