When lowering my nova do i buy a lowering kit or all new springs?

That depends on how much you want to spend, springs are from ?60 ish and kits are a lot more because you get shocks etc, you will get a better ride from the kit but the cheapest option would be to keep your standard shocks and drop it 30mm and you should be alright I think.

As far as I am aware it is not advisable as the shocks couldn't take it and will knacker up in no time, 30 should be alright though.
I had my car lowered on the weekend by 40mm all round, it cost me ?110 for second hand suspension and springs(from a breakers). The car handles a lot better now!!

get a full kit springs and dampers - if you just get springs the ride will be shite (the springs will be too small for the dampers!) and youll need new dampers eventually anyway because the pressure on the existing ones will knacker them. Doing the spings only will not get the desired effect looks wise either (ride height will drop a bit but not much as you are still on original dampers).
I got gmax git for me 1.2 for ?210 inc delivery and had no probs and its totally slammed!
