Hi,
I live in Crawley, West Sussex and would like to get my Twin 40 dellorto carbs set up before the Rolling Road (I HOPE:roll: )
I?m not really made of money (Sadly) but I don't want to take it to a group of cow boys so I will travel sum distance to get it done right..
Does anyone know where I should be heading to get it done and have a rough price as to what it should cost,
Thanks a lot once again,
Tom
DO NOT go to CC in reading
there is a specific carb tuning company somewhere in hants/berks/surrey but i cant remember for the life of me what theey are called

Pulled from an older thread reply by me:
"I've got Aprils PPC mag to hand and read their rolling road directory earlier today! For the south, they have:
Clifford Cox Engine Services in Reading 0118 9677799
Surrey Rolling Road on 01276 686111
Sussex Performance Centre in Horsham West Sussex on 01403 257257"
Try ringing these guys to see if they set up twin carbs. The only way it can be done properly is with a RR iirc, unless you want a quick set up then cure it on your RR day that you have booked.
BTW, your sig has an apostrophe on "pirate's" that shouldn't be there....
Tbh the best places to get carbs tuned are tried and tested ones. Over the last 8 or so years i have run dellortos and webbers, and come across many 'carb' tuners who have not been able to get the best from my engine packages. Dont get me wrong some have had good reputations and shown decent results for others, but then you take the laptop away and give them a set of carbs and the knowledge they have means they can tune the car, but not get the best from it.
As mentioned recently in olly's r/r thread i used to travel 2 1/2 hrs to get to a good r/r as i trusted them and the results were on a different planet (And thats just driving the car and not in a figures sense). The last company i used was Jamsport, those who know me agree i am a right fuss pot when it comes to tuning my things so i kind of stood back (can never stay out of the way completely lol ) and watched. They did everything by the book on that day and i would use them again :thumb: .
Mikeanics in Congleton is Very Very good ;) a bit far i know lol but does has some really good reviews throughout rally circles etc
Although most on the MLR think hes/them god???? Admittadly hes beyond good, but theres always better lol
I've always used Power Engineering, i'd stay away from those cow boys over at Sussex Performance.....RIP OFF MERCHANTS.....
New place in Manor Royal Austec Racing, they do all things TVR but i've seen a few FRST n scoob snacks winging out of there quicker than they went in. Think they've got a a dynamics jobbie too.
Aside from that theres PARR, not heard much about these guys but they've got a wheel off connect to hub set of rollers and have real nice le mon style 911's slide on over to www.parr-uk.co.uk (http://www.parr-uk.co.uk) look expensive though! and it's not always a case of you get what you pay for.
Who was it on here that thought they could tune them with a hose pipe or something!
^^^Thats just in crawlye too mate, plenty around you just gotta look!
