1.4 sr running lumpy from cold (help)

Hi can any one help me everytime i start my 1.4sr from cold it keeps dying out and wont stay running unless you take it round to redline.Once it run's it's fine and will start up normal everytime its just when i leave it over night then try to start it in the moring's can anyone help:confused:

Auto-choke playing up going on you're description, time to look into either a manual choke conversion or a replacement carb with a manual choke.

ye i know your not surpose to redline your car when its cold but i have to if i hold the throttle on lightly it just cuts out it wont stay running unless i take it over 5,000 rpm

my auto choke was fecked on my SR and i didnt have to take it over 5k

ye but mines proper f**ked it sounds like its miss fireing but i changed all the leads and plugs and it still run's ****.

my sr is lumpy from cold but once she warms up a little she is kooshty. just try and get a 32/34 carb it will make it a little nippyer aswell lol
