I've just logged in after quite a long spell away due to no longer owning a nova, just thought i'd see what people on here were up to.
I've noticed in a few threads that you seem to dislike honda vtecs?:tard:
I've recently purchased an accord type r after owning a civic 1.8 vti for nearly two years, both in my opinion the best everyday performance cars you can buy for the money!....
I've owned a lot of cars, most makes/models and can honestly say that the most disapointing/unreliable/bland cars i've owned have been vauxhall's,i know this will offend a lot of you but it's true,i've driven the latest models aswell, the astra vxr is a straight line car, show it a corner and it all goes wrong.
I post on a lot of forums for different makes of cars and you dont get the clouded 'everything else is ****' mentality on other sites.
I think what a lot of you need to do is to go out and try other cars before coming to the conclusion that what you have is superior, rememmber the nova is a cheap and cheerful budget hatchback from the early 80's that used far older engines and was designed to be made as cheap as they could get away with.
I've had great fun in SR/SRi/GSi's iv'e owned over the years but in comparison to what you can buy for similar money these days they just dont even come close.
As for the latest vauxhall range (with the exception of the holden models) there is not one model that i would consider buying.
I'm going to get a lot of stick for what i've just wrote but i had to say it.
I'm not a nova hater at all,i like them but as i'm not a one make one car enthusiast and i like a variety of makes i'm looking at the whole picture and to me a lot of comments come across as very immature.
Please feel free to tell me if any part of what i've said above is untrue?
