these type of door protectors, Are they just glued on etc or are they on with clips and when taken off they would leave a hole :confused:

They were glued on my old saloon, pretty sure that was the same type.

AFAIK its only the really early ones that had them clipped on...?

heat them up with a hairdryer or similiar prior to trying to remove them mate .....

should remove more of the glue/adhesive ...

no probs :)
maybe to check they arent clipped?? pop the door card off and check for fixings ?
when off a gum wheel is a handy tool in a drill to remove any residue left ...(thats what a mate did for ours anyway ..)

Rubber with a colored stripe? just glued on from personal experience.

And I seem to remember that the clips were held onto the door by welded-on plips, so you couldn't tell from looking inside the door, (sure I remember having to grind them off on my early-85 1.2L).
