I dont think those things are chavvy. Hardly race proven but atleast it isnt a Type R or Quickshift branded product.

I'd make an airbox from another airbox & a plastic welder.

1 CANT BE BOTHERED TO MAKE 1
2 DONT HAVE A PLASTIC WELDER.
3 I THINK THEY LOOK OKish.

At that price Grant, buy it & try it. If its gash ebay it or sell it to a noob.

The main worry is if the filtration is poor. Unless its real carbon I cant see the heat related benefits either.

Saying that, a std airbox is only plastic too.

Im just thinking of easyness as its there and you just bolt it on instead of going around a scrapyard for a morning trying to find something to fit!!

ambient heat build up takes a king long time in air boxes. So its heat resistance is semi futile (but a side bonus)

The key is that you can pick up air from a cold source outside of the bay.

I'd be inclinde to fit a universal APEXI cone inside that box (or knock up a box to do the same job). The APEXI has come out as a damn good filter with decent air flow compared to many others on the market.

Looks like a cheap copy of a BMC induction kit.

Like everyone else said... if its real carbon its worth a punt.

The BMC one is apparently the best option for my FTO... ?140 + though i think.
