the fuel pump thats on my gsi now (one that came with it) is far from ear friendly so need a replacement one.
problem is its fitted behind the drivers rear wheel arch and the only replacement ones i can find are for in the tank

the bit with loom plug and fuel hose attachment is actually still on the tank so either its had a replacement tank or fuel pump has been moved?? no connections inside though.
so 1) can i use pump in link externally? (looks same as one fitted)
2)is there an aftermarket one that would be better suited?
3)where the hell is the pump suppose to be, and where can i get replacement parts
