lol, there was a powdercoating company at the NEC classic car show that had a buggy frame on display with either nova or corsa tie-bars, lower arms and hubs on the back, can't remember whose design it was though.

Here's a pic I took of it with my phone,

I've been putting some thought into this lately & replicating the geometry for the mount & suspension would be fairly easy. the most obvious aggro is the gear linkage, but if you get an astra mk1 selector & modify it so the shift rod comes out the front, the rest of the linkage would be a doddle.

the bottom arms are weak enough on a road application, so some beefing up would be needed.

Don't bother with that haynes build an off road buggy book though, it is basically a rigid chassis with a honda c70 chicken chaser engine & box

i want to build one of these one day with my old nova engine in it.. would be pretty easy..

again the gear selector would be the worst though.

anyone know how you could mod a nova selector to make it work in a buggy?

i would be very interested to know..

Thats a NASA junior special. they run corsa 1200 engines and front suspension. The gearbox the selector rod is put through the front of the selector housing then linked to a suitable gearshift. They are raced by 12-16 yr olds.
