View Full Version : DELOCKING DOORS, how to open??

elo chaps, ive got a nova that needs two doors. i want to get de-locked doors but i dont know what i need to open them. ive got central locking with a key and a standard vauxhall 901 alarm. plz help, if any 1z got any for sale , much appreciated. cheers

you still use the handle to open them.

Does your CL currently operate off the alarm keyfob?

If not, you either need a stand-alone remote kit fitting or maybe a whole new alarm, unless remote CL can be enabled on the alarm you have.

Yes, unless as Mikey said the alarm doesn't support remote central locking in which case you'll need a whole new one with fob to match.

best thing to get a cat 1 alarm.not sure on prices these days but about 300-400.:thumb:

That standard alarm may well have an output for controling CL though, but that would mean some heavy searching through vauxhall tech files and could take, errr, a long time lol.

If you don't need the alarm to be cat 1 approved, there are plenty of cheaper options that will give you the features you need, just stay away from the cheap remote-start things on e-bay. I'd recommend something like a toad compact, I used to have a C2 and it did the job perfectly well for me, Cost me about ?100 but I fitted it myself.
