When my Nova is heat up etc the rev counter reads just over 1k revs

When it went for an MOT they had a thing up at the engine saying betweek 850/900 which is correct for the car?

Just wondering how I could fix the rev-counter to make it show the correct revs at idle?

Cheers, Vaughan :thumb:

rev counter is more of a rough guide mate

you wont get it bob on without better gauges

no, most cars are shocking rev counter wise

my old integra was mapped to limit 9300RPM, but i could change gear at near to 9500RPM on the rev counter!!

So the couple of hundred rev's out must be like a standard thing ?

Mine goes off the clock by a long way yet I no my limiter was no where near that. Same as the speedo, dont lose any sleep on what its saying.

No problem, thanks again for the help!

Thought I might have needed new clocks there

dont worry too much mate, try new clocks, it might be marginally better, but you will struggle to get it bob on

Aye I'll leave the clocks for now - I like them

Cheers for clearing that up :)

Nova rev guages are even worse if you give them a signal from standalone management :) Mine reads at least 500k less than it should be, which is bob on for sound tests, as mr tester thinks im holding it at 4k, when Im actually at 3.5 lol
