Got a standard Luxe, not lowered yet or anything.
Searched for answer to this but nothing conclusive.
Would 7 x 15 wheels cause any problem at the moment?
Bit concearned about the width.
How about if I lowered down 40mm? Arch mods?
Cheers
7" width requires arch work 9 outta 10 times
I've run 15x7's on both my shells, one needed the arches rolled and pulled and the other just rolled, although I only needed a little bit of room I made sure there was lots of clearance.

It's probably the most common size for a nova, yet the fit is different on every one due to the variable alignment of the panels and rear beam from the factory.
They may well go on without a problem with standard suspension, but it's almost gauranteed that some massaging will be needed with a lowering kit.
Fitting 195/45x15 tyres instead of 195/50's can help a bit with clearance.

I thought people stuck with 5.5-6" width to avoid any arch problems. Vaux rims and Speedlines are both 6" or under?

All my vauxhall rims have been 7" wide (normally rub against the damper boot on the back when going over a good size bump). 6" wide I've only ever seen on 14" rims. But 6.5 x 15 is more common for a vauxhall rim.

All GM rims are 6" width. Many aftermarket types are 6.5" & 7" was very common years back when putting 15"s on a Cav or Sierra was an upgrade.
7" will go, but you really need to kjeep to et49 ideally & the wheels will look very wide. Personally I'd keep to 6 or 6.5 & the steering will stay neutral & arch clearance wont be an issue.

Thanks everyone, decided 7 inches wide is going to cause a lot of trouble I dont really need. The wheels weren't worth all the trouble to be honest.
Anyone know if standard MK2 Astra GTE wheels fit a Nova without problems?
Looked everywhere to find out.
Just wondering as I know someone selling some reasonable price.
Cheers

Yes straight on. No probs at all.
You want 185/60 tyres or 185/55 are even better. Designed to fit over astra 16v brakes obviously.
