Hi Guys,
The car did have a Tracker and CAT 1 alarm/immobiler and a Disc lock on the steering wheel..... But they got the keys http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/images/smile/sad.gif
They broke into his house from the rear, ransacked it left ?1000's worth of Tools but found the keys (which were very well hidden!) But on the way out of the house they also took a new 42" TV, DVD, Laptop, X-Box, Wii and all of his personal documents/details and a load of cash. The house is a right mess.
My mates absolutely devastated by this, the car was his pride and joy. And yes although its insured he won't get another one in fear of the same happening again.
The Tracker has been activated but until the iginition is switched on it'll do fcuk all unfortunetely. Why are they not battery backed up http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/images/smile/mad.gif
Cheers for keeping an eye out guys

That sucks. Sign of the times & society we live in. Lets hope the tracker does its job!
Hope it turns up & the culprits brought to some form of justice. ie their testicles are stretched by 2 opposing articulated trucks & then deported to a land far less comfortable than ours.

Becoming the most common method of stealing high-spec cars is that. The tracker system will do it's job if the police can be bothered to use it, pretty much the only way to stop the signal is to put the car into lead-lined container. Whether it'll be in one piece though is any-ones guess.
If they took personal doc's aswell, advise your friend to get onto his bank etc and have account numbers changed and the like, as he could be wide open to identity theft.
Good advice, cars and other physical items can be replaced at the end of the day, but if they start abusing his identity he'll have bigger problems. I'd recommend getting in touch with Cifas or some such credit protection agency asap (i registered with them once when I lost my wallet - they do provide a decent service, orange had muchos hassle when i tried to set up a new phone contract later in the year lol)
Hopefully the tracker does its job though and he gets everything back in one piece.

These thieves will have had the tracker out in 20 minutes after taking it. I have dealt with a cust who had an R32 pinched and the tracker was in the road outside his house, along with the clifford!
These pro gangs know more about cars than most, and they know the 5-8 positions the tracker will be in!!!!!
