Having driven across the country in a 1.7D Combo with my Nova on tow to track days etc, it became clear that 40 mph on the motorway was simply not fast enough! lol

So, I bought a 1.4 Combo petrol animal for a bit more 'oomph'! :) Hmmmm to discover that its actually slower! :roll:

The Raclines are slicks, and I am waiting to get some tyres for the Super T's before I drive it too far!

lol its a V12 E-type. Keep firin her up and revving it... sounds awesome.

The tracking looks out due to the fact its not 100% on its wheels! Its fine now the axle stand has gone.

well to day we decided to fit a new fuel pump as the one in the tank was an spi one we fitted a pump from a vectra v6 down the local scrappy

it goes much much better now pitty yhte roads were wet and the van has the racelines wheels which are fitted with slick tyres the grip was shocking!

lol, genius. I had a hairbrained idea to turn my astravan into a track slag before i reshelled the blue one. I still need to do something with the astra, it might have to be XE'd now :)

well the corsa not having a rev counter and non working speedo due to the fact that the speedo is electric we picked up some gsi corsa clocks which have rev counter ansd a cable driven speedo!

So we fitted the new OZ Super T's tonight and took her for a spin (properly) and amk surprised at how well she goes!

Its easily as quick as the Corsa Sport XE I have, which shocked me a bit as I expected it to be a bit slower....

Also comical torque steer and random spinning up in 3rd, probably due to the standard suspension (well 'Sport' spec!)

Cant wait to get her fully taxed etc so I can go lurking on the M4 for Sprinters etc lol

Nice little Team Support Vehicle there mate! I'm after a Mk4 Astra Van with the factory LPG setup and a fooked engine, then drop in an XE and reap the benefits :)

Indeed but the XE into a mk4 isnt as easy, in fact its quite difficult!

Also the LPG wont fit straight on... this van was converted from teh factory and I needed to spend mre ??? converting it for the XE, so I didnt bother!

Yeah, its on leaf springs :tard: so the only thing I can do on the cheap is turn them upside down, but then it will be on its ass and ytotally useless as a van!

diesel power and veg oil is the way of the future. from cousins cash and carry it can be had for only 61p a ltr. it runs good with 50-50 mix but smells like dead chips :(

My XE wont run on chip fat unfortunately.:cry:
