im in need of a new engine for my 1.2 j reg nova as i went thro a big puddle and now its running cra* and will not pick up any power! cant get the dizzy cap off but ive checked the ht leads and there fine, there is alot of water around the top end of the engine where its says ohc!! so in need of a new engine, it MUST be lower than 1.4sri. want an engine that will go straight in no conversion kits,no welding etc just put it in and away i go!! if you have anything let me know a.s.a.p cheap as poss and as close to newton-le-willows wa12 9ra northwest! as poss

You are gonna do an engine swap because the dizzy or ignition has likely gotten wet? Crazy!

it is only one 13mm nut to remove the distributor. that is all. then you may replace it or the cap at your lesuire.

on the dizzy cap there is 2 bolts holding it on(with screw bits inside as if you can screw them off) but there both shreaded away and cant get a spanner or socket in the get them off!!
