Basicly my back box the standard 1 you get with ya nova has been blowing since i had it on the road but it sounded sweet until around 5 hours ago when it suddenly went very loud.

So i took a look under the car and their is a hole as you can see in the pic lol...

So anyway spoke to ma dad and he said he will pay for me to get a bolt on back box performance 1 like the peco ones etc... aslong as it under 100 quid sooo can people help me locate a strate on bolt on 1 which won't need any modding at all.

Or if anybody has 1 that i could buy that would help it's for my 1.2 merit (CARB)(NON CAT) nova!

Thanks.

Yeah, you walk in and ask for a backbox for a nova 1.2, and they ask you for ?8-12 lol.

NovaLad

I had my back and midbox replaced on seperate occasions for a total of around ?25 including labour lol, one recepit was around ?12 the other was around ?13.

If its been on there a long time it will have ceased on and I was too lazy to do it myself lol.

get a full kit for about ?120
Hmm, ?12 or ?120... hmmmmm lol

By full kit, Timmy means a full (ish) exhaust, so replacement aftermarket item from manifold back. Yes, its only ?120, but then consider you'd have to pay muchos more ????? on your insurance as well.

IIRC all nova carb exhausts are the same...? Just make sure you get one for a Mk2, as a Mk1 will come out at a jaunty angle.

I'd get a std one & have a Scorpion or Jetex tauil welded on for the 3" chrome tip. It'll sound nice & quiet but look like you've spent ?300.

I like the deep, clean tone you get from std GM engines. Not the raspy horrible noise like PECO's & Ashleys etc give you.

How about a std GSi rear box?

Looks rusted right out anyway.

Wish I knew about the back firing nonsense when I was 18, would've killed my std pipe then.
