IIRC standard is 945mm, and For the lower posistion of the T40 bracket you should need 915mm?

If you are using a Sport style setup then I can get you the correct one for ?10 plus postage. They are Gates belts so very good quality

i had to used a longer belt on mine and also id cut and extenderd the slotted braket to make the generator sit further back. this was to make the space for the water pipe from the head that would have gone in to the old manifold to heat it.and then go to the heater matrix.i just piped it straight thru. icannot remember the size of the belt but it was longer than the 1200 one.
thank you for your time
so i need 915mm belt if i m using the cally 8v alt bracket ?

"1x ST300 Alternator Mounting Fan Belt"

When I did my rebuild, I went to vauxhall and they translated the irmscher codes into whatever GM parts they had in stock and to use a nova sport lowering bracket it used a 1200 fan belt and also a 1200 astra accelerator cable and joint, which is handy to know as they are cheaper and less of a faff to replace (allbeing said isnt as nice a feel as an aftermarket kit).

An old post I know, but can you still get these?
It would have been a better idea to pm him, rather then get banned for bumping this thread.
