First thing to be said is sorry about the pics my photobucket is broken so i am trying to learn how to use image shack!

Due to me writing off my last car i thought i would start from scratch and keep you all updated with the new project.

About a week ago i was searching the world wide web trying to find a shell that was in alright condition and reasonably cheap, while i was on ebay i found this:

I thought it looked pretty reasonable so got in touch with the owner and she emailed me a few extra pics.
I started to bid and won at ?215. Bargain lol

So today alarm clock went off at 5.30 down i went to the train station getting there at 6.15, ready for my journey ahead, anyway a dvd later the train journey from Macclesfield to Surrey was over and the vehicle was bought.
Its a mk1 1988 1200 4speed carb engine.

Got it home safely and took these:

Both rear arches are solid :thumb:

Engine bay is dirtier than underneath which is solid as a rock, however there is one patch of tin worm as you can see in the pic.

anyway plans for tomorrow include: FK coilovers on, 16v brakes, gsi interior, and underseal the arches. Should keep me busy for a while

Does anybody have a gte front bumper for sale? lol

looks neat.

novas always seem to rust there in the inner wing first!

little update.

After getting it home ive changed the brakes and put the 16v's on :D much better braking, then today i booked it in for its mot.. It Failed  so no suprise there!

Nothing serious though just slight movement with the rear bearings and and the rear offside brake hose has been slightly damaged, so tomorrow the plans are to sort out the mot and slam it on its **** lol photos to come.
