Autosport show is on this weekend and my brother was down there lastnight fitting some graphics on a car on show there. So he had a wander round and found this and sent the pictures through to me.

Colin Mcrae's old Nova Rally Car, looks like they have all of his old cars on show there.

I saw it at the motor show at the NEC back in the mid eighties & it never looked that good then. Colin sort of learned how to roll over in this nova.

Colin Mcrae kept all his old cars. There's an interview that was on tv just after he died and he had his sunbeam (first rally car) Nova and a couple of subaru's in what I could only describe as a "museum!"

What a show piece - Get it out on a gravel track and abuse it though

Are you sure its the original and not a stickered up replica for the show?
The original was broken by Jason Lepley(My mate had the exhaust off it) and he sold the ID on but we not sure where.
I rang Lepleys a few years back to see if he had it but with no joy.
DVLA shows it has not been taxed since 98!
Still, looks fookin mint tho

Defintely wont be the original, its utterly mint. I think the expression 'never been raced or rallied' aplies here more than ever lol

Wouldn't supprise me if 1/2 of them have just been rebuilt just to go on the Colin McRea Tribute stand @ AutoSport
I know that S9 FMC (Focus WRC) has just ben rebuilt from a bare shell just in time for the show, it was only finished on wednesday morning !!

1st glances, the bucket seats dont seem period to me. I hope its genuine though just for the anorak in me. Nice one for the pics Andy!

The Sunbeam is original but probably has been rebuilt once or twice

Seen it in person and it is nearly perfect

Its a replica. Most definately not the real deal.

Not that it makes much difference, but Colin was trying for years to buy the original shell back but the owner knew its history and was holding "the rightful owner" to a ransom for it - Colin never bit.

Shame though, would have been fantastic to have let him have his collection almost complete.

The Sunbeam is the genuine original car - amazing how well it cleaned up!
