Hiya chaps i have used the search option but i cant find the answer im looking for (or any pics for that matter)

Some of you know ive fitted dellorto carbs to my 1300SR.
They are currently supplied by a mechanical fuel pump as i was told it was up to the job as it will fill the carb bowels up until it reaches the set pressure. Then it will shut off. Great no problems.

However. I'm looking to fit an inline fuel filter now that ive been paid and ive been looking on ebay at

I already have a pressure regulator but ive not botherd fitting it due to me running a mechanical fuel pump. Bearing in mind im planning on using it for competitions on the back end of this year, what would the best set up be as well.

you ideally need a pressure reg in there anyway as the mechanical pump supplies approx 7psi and you want 3psi (plus the pump wont shut off when the bowls are full ;) )

yes thats a combined filter and reg in one.

Oh ok well thanks for the info, :) Have you any idea which one i should go for?
and does anyone know what inlet and outlet sizes i should use. As far as im aware i think the mechanical is 8mm to 6mm but i cant quite remember.

I just use the fuel return method. Instead of regulating the pressure, i just use the normal mechanical pump and bewteen the pump and carburettors install a fuel return with a small valve in it. you have an SR so should have a fuel return hose in the bay?

This is the way the Nova Sports ran so I cant see a problem with it....?

Ive got one in my garage from when i tried using an electric pump. Its the metal bodied one as in the picture. Not the glass bowl one. Will sell via PayPal.
