Not a straight swap. and i wouldnt fit them into a Mk1 dash (you need a cavalier surround). Ive got a mk1 and ive just converted it to a mk2 dash.
Use the search button ive got a few guides on the her somewhere.

yes it dose fit you have to take the dash out then put clockin then put dash in

also would probs need to run wires from coil and oil pressure sensor to make sure that its fully working

yeh SO much hassel if you ask me, i would convert to a mk2 dash first (all wires are straight swap and looks alot better IMO) and then you can get access to the dash with out removing the WHOLE dash lol.

and yeh to make the rev counter work, you run a wire from the coil (bottom right terminal) and that goes to the digi dash.

you carnt fit a digi dash straight into a mk1 dash cos i have tried it, the digi dash is nearly an inch taller than your clocks and will require a fair bit cutting to make it fit. nothing to say it carnt fit its just not easy replacement as the mk2 nova dashes having bigger dash clocks. simply the mk2 clocks and digi dashes are a bigger unit than the mk1 clocks.
