View Full Version : Old school Ex png member car ?
Hi All, I was just browsing pistonheads and came across this......http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/330785.htm Im sure many of the older school members will remember it? I saw it at billing many years ago and it was quite a trick car with a fare few unique modifications done to it. I also saw it at ten of the best last year and I must say it was still looking awesome! I'd say if its still in good order its a bargain a lot of car for 2k.. Must tempt someone? I must say If it wasnt for my recent huge purchase I'd be there already! Nick.
yeah i had a look at it in bradford a couple of month ago and it looked very nice and it was absolutly spotless!if i had extra storage space i would be very tempted by that

i think that oldskool/ex.png owner struggled to sell it for what he wanted on ebay.. well over a year ago?? two years ago??
Then it was concours..
It isnt now, bit it is a wee piece of heritage/ well known nova over the years..
It's not that nice, bit of a mish-mash of styles I think personally. . . .

Stuart Tauntons old car, spoke to him at trax 2002 and 2003 when he still had the car. Its very very well built and worth that money all day long.

Agree, fantastic one off mods & fabricated bits.
Certainly justifies a carb'd XE or any other big power motor tbh.

The car's got alot of expensive toys (seats, coilovers, wilwoods etc) and is well worth the 2k IMO
Overpriced for a sr imho.
agreed, even with the bits krobinson mentioned i dont think it justifies that price tag

Would give him ?1.2k for that. Anymore and i would be expecting to see a XE in it.

Worth it to break for ?2k IMO
Easily worth it. Why would installing a smokey, 150k XE make it worth any more?

Some anthracite Compomotive MO alloys & some std Nova mirrors would have that looking mint.

well worth the cash imo, peeps pay a fortune for mint standard shells, and i think ya could prob drop and xe in it and sell the engine st up thats in there now for more or less the same price as the xe conversion would cost if you go about it the right way, been thinking about buying it my self to transfer my let in to
and whoever said speedlines dont suit mk1 nova's yes they do but it dont have them on it any way there soft stars lol........should have went to specsavers pmsl

That man corrected himself.
Its all down to taste, there is no definitive answer & if you look up an E reg Nova SR's value in the Parkers price guide they'd laugh into next year if they heard what the asking price was....
Personally I love it. One of the most unique Novas I've seen without being ruined.
Love it too, and ?2000 as long as condition is on par is a good price.
?1200 is the price for a 1.2 in that condition with lesser spec IME/O

Love those old SR seats... Love the engine... but what happened to the exhaust recess on the bumper & why oh why stick a CD to the rad fan? (which is usually behind the rad) LOL
I love those old SR seats too!
CD is a Ford RST thing isn't it...unless its got a fan grill side of the radiator.
Nice looking car that, in pretty reasonable nick from what I can see :)

Aye theres one where I work like that lol
lol bembo stickers on the brakes , and in the discription "revs off the clock" az it got vtec then lol
other then that it does look quite good
A close friend of mine bought the SR at the weekend, defo worth the 6 hour round trip. The attention to detail on the shell is un-real and i have no doubt in saying that it is the best nova i've ever seen.
A couple of niggles with the interior and i would probably ditch the sound system (personal choice with that one) but overal a very very nice nova.
I didn't know gearbox casings could be so clean!!! Hopefuly said person will upload some current pics.
Good buy my man, you'll struggle to lose money on it!
Also the car has a PNG members sticker in the back window although the background of the sticker is gold as apposed to white? Could this be a Vintage PNG sticker?

The gold sticker was issued after 2 or 3 years membership
