Right, I've got a 1.3 SR engine and was wondering what internal differences there were between the sr and sport? As the sport is running more bhp.
Better.

Apparently when dyno testing the engines for the sport, the standard back box rattled off & the bhp output shot up, that was when the decision was made to fit/supply a performance rear silencer by the Dealer Sport team.

Apart from the carbs/optional cam, everything remained unchanged afaik.
I think even the dizzys were the same, which wasn't a good idea(Same advance curve etc)

Complete carb setup is around ?300.
Tho the original sport carb setups tend to go for more.

The carbs go for silly money.

The cam was made by enem and was 290 somthing profile.

Adam what would you recommend doing with the dizzy?
Well, if its identical to the standard 1.3 dizzy. Its advance curve is setup for a small twin choke carb, and a tame cam.
Not for a carb per cylinder, and a 290+ deg duration cam.
So its ignition requirements will be different.

The 1300 dizzy obviously works fine, but it could be improved on.
That would mean going standalone ignition management, or getting the dizzy reweighted to suit the engines requirements(usually quite expensive)

if you are wanting the nova sport cam, hunt for an enem x17.. its 298 deg and makes a fair difference over standard..i have just fitted one.

i would try find a set of twin carbs..if you hunt around you will find a set for ?200-?300..

all the webber twin 40's are basicly the same..its just the original sport carbs fetch lots of money..just say they were from a sport at your races..lol

yeah..they airbox etc..

but you do not need this on the carbs..get some trumpets and fit filter socks or buy proper panel filter that bolt onto carbs..carbs usually some with filters of some sort..

I guess it depends on what you can do under your rules, do you know what they are?

Ad, there are several dizzies you can use with various curves, I guess you need to know what it needs to be.
