"Burgundy beast", designing your own cover feature or something? lol

Doesn't look too shabby, nice to see it somewhere else instead of infront of a garage.

No, I mean spending lots on shell (expensive) when cheaper stuff will do.

If he IS putting V-Power in it, he's a numpty lol

The local Shell to me is normally similarly priced to the Sainsburys/Tesco stations :thumb:

I was always use v-power, and although people won't buy it because its 'loads' more, on a full tank its about ?3 more than sheel 95 crap.

lol Barstewards, Shell is damned expensive down here lol

Stu, still not convinced about Tesco 99RON. V-Power is considerably cleaner (half the sulpher and only a trace of lead) and afaik doesn't include the ethanol that is found in Tesco's stuff (and pretty much every other fuel out there, so Greenergy banging on about 5% bioethanol being some kinda new fangled and amazing feature of their fuel, its actually nothing special at all), so cars often run quite lean on it - hence some people reporting better MPG from Tesco's fuel.

Assuming thats in a Nova, not really worth it.

Nice car... I'm actually impressed.

On the fuel subject... I'm tempted to put some v-power in my FTO as I should see better miles per gallon.

My first nova was 4 star... there's not many places that still sell it round here.

Seen as the FTO is imported from japland, its probably tuned to their fuel which is ~100RON so VPower should see you good. If its been de-tuned for 97 you won't see a great improvement, detuned to 95 and you may as well chuck your money down the drain. Easiest way to tell if its supposed to run on 100, stick some 95 in and see how bad it predetonates lol

Nowhere will sell proper 4 star any more, its been off the menu since mid-late 90's iirc... LRP is the stuff, and I can think of only one petrol station round here that sells it!

I vaguely remember getting caught short with no petrol on the way to work once. I was planning a pit stop on route but rolled into work on fumes and had to get my dad to bring out a jerry can. lol

Couple of days on the road and the front wheels are nearly black

You been doing some hard braking lol ? I.e speeding...

NovaLad
08-01-08, 05:37 PM
I had to wear in my breaks quite a bit because they hadn't really been used in 9 month.

Lol they get manky easy as they are such a light colour.

Jack

Should start a habit of cleaning brake dust off regularly, it's quite corrosive
