In a Barge that is! Bought myself a black 2.0 16v Calibra, can't wait to set sail in the mighty dark destroyer lol
Comes ready pimped with multispoke 17"s, slammed and a phat induction kit (which is really quiet!) Bought it so the little lady can have the astra tds to chug round in and I'll pimp it in a Micheal Knight stylee in the calibra AKA Kit :tard:
For a second then i thought you were going say your removing the small block lol lol
Good stuff, big blocks are allowed for daily runners :) Lol

This cally made me like them http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/343070-euro-cally.html
Luckily mine is also black, so I may end up taking some inspiration from this, watch this space...
Its dark at the moment and the ebay ad has been withdrawn, I'll take it to the canal when I'm back next weekend and get pics haha

To right :D when my Cav turns 200k its getting weighed in for either a 16v one or a Calibra lol
woot, great way to line yourself up for a swap to a proper engine there! :)
The good ole 'i bought a calibra for a daily drive' story.
Then it;ll be the 'oh no, my puny 1.6 has broken again' line
then finally the classic 'well ive got the cally engine, and its almost out of MOT so I may as well use it' old shiner.
Legendary Oli, your a genius of epic proportions lol

Thats basically my plan lol but just need to add in there "sell the 1600T engine for an extornate amount" then that will fund my Ford project :thumb:

Can't get him away from that calibra - He can't believe how much power a standard engine can produce !!! - If only it would fit in a nova

Few more track days along side the xe boys and he will turn.... they/we all do ;)
ps Oli, if you need one of those nightrider lights i have a red one and blue one if you want it lol
I think I saw Oli's car last at MK Meet 2005, and have to say it was the nuts then, however...XE would be better ;)
Completely unbiased n'all lol

I can see where your all coming from to be honest, just been out for dinner and when I came back the big block anchor had kept my calibra moored up nicely
PMSL @ anchor.

I doubt the 137 broken mule power eco-wreck lump in my calibra will swing me to the banzai understeer ways either PMSL
Ahh its an ecofeck. The same family as the 1.6 16v.
Say no more lol

lol - worst of both worlds 2.0 weight with 1.6 reliability
Scared the nova was going to be blown away with the heavy winds we've had recently and needed something to tie it down to?
That euro cally is uber cool, fairly easy to achieve something similar tho - look forward to seeing it.

lol, im actually quite impressed. You bought an ecowreck purely to avoid an XE.
Scared of them you are!

PMSL about right!
That was what I was thinking, without taking anything away from the guy, in the original guise its just lowered on nice wheels (and clean!)
Lee-I think you'll find I already have an XE, its just mine is a youthfull smallblock unlike your middle-aged spread Fat block XE lol
i thought lees XE (s) were simply spread all over coombe

lol lol lol
Word has it,apparently if Lee breaks another one this year.
Combe marshalls will have enough pieces to build a complete xe  :p
lollollol
is it true that coombe marshalls have baseball mitts now ?
Its the same old story....
Man buys small block
Man tunes small block
Man blows up smallblock
man buys another smallblock
man blows smallblock up again
man buys yet another smallblock
Meanwhile, another man who has laughed at the man blowing his smallblock up many many times, blows his big block up twice as well, hense leaving an even playing field.
How many times have we heard this story??
However, ill put money on you getting the hatrick first lol

Only on PNG could a thread about a new daily drive turn into a Lee bashing thread, LOVE IT!!! lol
Oh god, i love the small/big block arguements lollollol
PMSL, yes its true, combe marshalls wince whenever i drive past now lol

No chance!
cos i can't afford to track it for another 3 years being a student tosser :(
If you bought a proper engine, you could have just bought the TB's and made the same power you have now, freeing up money for the baked beans with sausage tins! lol

i heard they had kitted the marshalls out with new gear, due to your reg explosions
http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/1594476/2/istockphoto_1594476_riot_police_perspective.jpg
And ordered them to "duck" as you drive past them
After the last engine went to be big scrap yard in the sky a mashall came up to me when I was in the que to go out on track and said
Tell your mate if he does that again, he's cleaning it up!

You ought to be careful Lee... they might start charging you if you exceed your limit... like the AA. ;)

Took some crappy pics of the barge the other day. I think it's been lowered 60mm but with standard shocks, which are shot. So courtesy of Novaneil I have a set of Koni adjustables, custom -70mm springs and a camber correction kit to go on.....oh and a 308mm big brake conversion :thumb:

Its actually not too bad, it's even had the odd admiring glance, at least I think they were in admiration :( I reckon with the new suspension and brakes on and with a clean and it'll look super dooper :)
