I'm going to view one tomorrow with a friend thats thinking of buying it, is there anywhere in particular I should be looking for trouble?

Oviously I'll be checking it runs ok, chassis legs, arches, boot floor....

Cheers :thumb:.

check for smoke,

make sure its cold before you start it up, if it takes a few mins to start, means fuel pump cold start on its way out,

i have had a 1.7td cav was really brill while it lasted not the quickest thing on the planet and probs one off the slowest..
part from that i couldnt fault it all i say is dont play around wiv it like i did then i had probs i.e. wiv turbo then alternator went thn starter general stuff like that that becomes tired even tho it had 245k on it by the end i crushed it...just a warning tho these parts are exspensive i.e. starter motor ?90 i paid

good luck tho their is still some very decent cavs out their to be picked up!!
