hello i have just rigged up my system but the problem i have is i wired my remote from my amp to the remote on my head unit and it works fine when i put the radio on but as soon as i put a cd in my amp goes off and no sound does anyone know what i cound be doing wrong thanks in advance

When the cd is selected and the amp cuts out does the 'protect' light come on your amp?

not sure if its the protection light or not but the green light goes to red when i select cd

Yeah that sounds like the protection light alright. Hmmm strange, that implies that something is shorting the circuit and therefore sending the amp into protect mode. Can't see why cd mode would do that(unless for some reason the signal from the cd is considerably high(noisy) that the a)its meant to be and b) the radio) have you tried another amp just to test if that does the same? Certainly check you amp wiring, esp the earth cable, make sure its a good connection to your earthing point and that the earthing point is good. Check all the others carefully to see if any are touching anything they shouldn't etc. Other than that i don't know.
