That "estate" nova, or one like it, has been on ebay.de. I remember posting about it at the time ;)

:wtf: looking at it closely it would take some fabricating, i mean if the rear was from a hatch theyve completely changed the arch to the rounded type, also it has the roof rails running from 1 end to the other.maybe they just wasnt sold over here,id say its original.

If you speak to Ronal politely im sure they may just make some more lol Most of them come in a ET28 with a classic 4x100 PCD.

if it was originally a 5 door hatch it would of had round type arches as standard anyway

As lee said, would have used a 4dr saloon and modified it, looks very similar to a mk1 astra estate, maybe they ripped the back end of it.

Does look strangely cool though, lol

I reckon that looks like a standard Nova bootlid. Would make sense in terms of measuring up.

When I worked at unipart oxford back in the early nineties, we would regularly see prototype rover stuff ( our office overlooked the back of the rover works) I saw maestro estates, montego vans, pickups etc even the new mini some years before bmw 'invented' it. Car Company engineers regularly make this sort of stuff to test public interest.

You'd be surprised. The entire roof would need re-working to suit, not just a case of chopping the rear of a 5dr onto the back of a 4dr (in that instance you'd get a dip in the middle due to the curve in the roof).

New glass would need to be made for the rear end as well
