The time has come i'm afraid, really dont want to sell this car!
I've had this nova since august 2006 and have never had any problems mechanically with it. The engine has just about covered 110,000 but its very solid. no tapping can be heard and the car idle's very nicely cold or warm, has ALWAYS started first time rain, snow or sun!
Only ever had minor problems with the shell which has all been sorted in the MoT. e.g. battery tray re-welded and rear spring mounts were corroded so they were both replaced at last MoT (April 2007).
MoT is due in April and the tax a couple of months after that. My mechanic has said that the car should go straight through the MoT for major stuff like needing welding, etc as, apart from the doors, the body is very solid.
Recent new rotor arm, dizzy cap, HT leads and spark plugs to cure a slight misfire which has now gone.
Mods:
De-badged bonnet and boot,
Semi-smooth boot with a fitted and working solenoid...could do with a slight bit of attention,
Vauxhall cesaro alloy wheels with 4 good tyres on. 2 x toyo proxes + 2 x yoko's,
Lowered 60mm on jamex shocks and springs.
Panasonic 50x4 head unit, 3 x 3v outputs, 2 x line-inputs, virtual equaliser, very good unit, large blue dot matrix display, was around ?249.99 when new,
Kenwood 330 watt 7x10's,
Vx220 gear nob,
Momo steering wheel and boss.
Also comes with:
2 x back boxes...1 x peco 3" round exit and one powerflow stainless steel 4" inward rolled exit,
2 x brand new nova doors, de-locked and de-handled.
Very good basis for a good project.
