Hmm, wing and bumper are easily replacable. Could be a few hours on the jig if the chassis has been twanged though. Any pics of the damage?

Are you sorting it privately or thru insurance?

pathment
Best. Word. Evar. lol

The car shouldn't be on the road full stop if its not insured.
It doesn't matter if it gets drove or not. (it has to be insured to be on a road, not to be drove)

So mentioning insurance is the last thing id do.

Sort it privately/

yes but still needs atleast 3rd party cover to be on the public highway.

thats the car not the driver unless they have a traders policy but as he has stated he has no license i doubt that is the case ? and how did the car get to be on the road ? and driven by who ??

im not havin a moan but was merely tryin to say that if the vito driver wants to pay cash let him or there is a danger of bein up **** creek without a paddle !!!

*Sorry to go off topic* but referring to what you were saying about uninsured cars being allowed on the road, will I get done for having no insurance on the Nova if it is stored at my sister's (on her private drive). The car does have tax and MOT but isn't been driven at all, Dougie seems to think I have to have insurance or SORN it?!? He says I will get fined for no insurance and that a few people have been stung by it.

No that's tax. Tbh, it seems a bit pointless to have one without the other.

DVLA is a little bit grey in the area - it says you need insurance to drive a car in a public area, one would assume that to get the car in and out of the public area (i.e. the street) you do therefore need insurance. Would also need valid tax (not a SORN) and MOT.

If the car was stored in a private area then you don't need insurance or MOT, but would need to be SORN-ed (or taxed).
