i just read through all of it...................and all i can say is...

he's some conkers on him..lol

serious ammount of work involved...................and makes what i have to do too my nova look like a freee pint in the pub..

deffinatly for anyone doing a rebuild at the minute....this is worth a look at for motivational purposes even:thumb:

i'm actually looking forward to getting at mine with the welder now.after reading that.

he deserves a multiple prizegiving of blue-peter badges

amazing stuff.

I bought some inner wings & chassis legs then I read that, don't think I'll be using them unless absolutely necessary!

Like his comment about not jigging it...
'Before the car was started hundreds of mesurements were took on mine and other novas. Suffice to say with a tape and the power of mathmatics the car is very very straight'
:tard:
Better him than me!

no update for 6 months tho :(

I think its been 'on going' for a fair few years tbh !!
The car used to belong to a local lad about 10 years ago, was a std white J plate GSi, sold on then had a 16v motor dropped in and painted Green, wouldn't supprise me if its been off the road for a good 5 - 6 years.
I don't know the guy who's got it but its in a garage / lock-up in my town, be cool to have a noisey around it sometime.

One of the other members Nic has a c20let corsa which is going to be knocking on the door of 500bhp this year, it was in TOTB last year, i think they have been busy rebuilding that,

love it!

Although now I'm a bit frightened (and comfoirted) by the task i have of replacing both sills and rear 1/4 panels - although I'm only doing the lower sections of 1/4 not the whole rear!

Mega shell resto for sure.

Think its prolly awaiting paint etc. No doubt its one of those 'in no rush to finish' projects which will surprise you in 2011..

One thing that made me cry is he had it shotblasted but then he let the shell go rusty :( There is a pic later in the thread with it covered in surface corrosion:(
