View Full Version : rear shocks for 100m springs:)

iv just bought some 100m rear springs but im unsure what rear shocks to use to stop the springs fallin out ? i have thought about some uprated mini shocks cos there shorter but dunno if they would be upto the job ??

Alot of good uprated shocks should be short enough if the spring is progressive.

My old nova was pretty low at the rear and it ran FK rear shocks. Spax also do a range of short shocks, as do Avo and Gaz.

dont you have to ziptie the springs in a bit - it just sits too compressed at that sort of lowering...
you get them from coilsprings 89?

i used my with spax rear shocks on my corsa and they are fine - didn't cable tie them on, and they stay put

ive got spax rsx ones on mine and even with my bodged 120mm rear springs they have been fine

well i trial fitted them and once lowered you can only jack it up 2-3inches b4 they are loose ??

unfortunatly saloonwoody they will fail mot as the cannot fall out when jacked up

mine didnt fail on my rear springs and they are proper dodgy lol

Ive just lowered my nova, but what do u mean by ziptie? is there sumin u have 2 do in order 2 stop them falling out?
