The "hatch" deffo fits as I had an old GTE once and scrapped and sold it to a mate with a Mk2.

No idea about the bumper but wont the exhaust come out in the wrong place?

The only thing thats different 'fitment wise' is where the sides of the bumper attatches to the body, you'd have to drill (think the holes are actually square) some fresh holes to secure the MK1 mounts.

Yes, iirc the GTE rear has a hole cut in the valance to allow for the squiffy (technical term) exit exhaust. Mk2 exhaust comes out straighter so the exhaust won't line up with the hole.

Or you could just bung a Mk1 exhaust on lol
